Sorry to say that the paper pack kits for the July Marathon class have now sold out. If you have already booked in to the class you will have received a confirmation email from Philarney, and a kit has been set aside for you. Looking forward to seeing you in class soon.

July Class update

Hi there!
The 14th is proving to be the popular date for classes next month. Classes #1, 2&3 are fully booked on 14th July. **EDIT** Kits are also sold out for class #1

Thank you to everyone that ventured out of their warm homes this month to come and join us for classes, we appreciate you all! Let's hope the sun is shining in July because as long as the sun is out it gets nice and toasty in the classroom too.

I have designed a double-page sketch & have teamed it with 2 interpretations of that sketch to help you create a striking layout. For this month's kit I have used Kaiser Craft's Chapter One range. We will creating a fabric-like background for our photos and a matching title using a Darkroom Door stamp and tissue paper. Teacher: Stacey

Class #2&3. Sat. July 14 & 28 11:30am - 4:00pm
This month is a marathon class! It's a double class, and in four hours you will have the chance to make eight pages - two double-page layouts and four single pages. The kit is includes a My Mind’s Eye ‘Simply Delightful’ paper pad which has 180 patterned papers, as well as a complimentary embellishment kit. Teacher: Philarney

This month we are holding a mid-year craft day. Bring along any craft project you are working on & have a relaxing day out with friends. The price includes 5 hours of uninterrupted time, 2 teachers on-hand for advice or questions and a scrummy afternoon tea. Teachers: Stacey & Philarney

DIY Clock

I had been searching for months for a clock for the studio. I couldn't find anything that I was 100% happy with (in my price range of course)! One Sunday morning my best friend and I were browsing through Terrigal's Car Boot Sale when I saw an MDF clock. It got me thinking... maybe I could just decorate over the existing design. At just $3, I had to at least give it a go. Here are the results and a tutorial on my DIY clock.

I adhered 2 sheets of patterned paper
with double sided tape, for this
design I have chosen the seam
to be on the diagonal

Then I turned it over and trimmed the
excess paper with a Stanley knife

I sanded the edges to give a distressed
and more finished look

For the centre I cut 2 squares. Then
made a large hole in the centre and
cut an opening from the hole to one
of the corners

To adhere them I used double-sided
tape and to make it straight I used a
Line it Up tool

I added Thickers numbers around
the centre square

Voila!
